Radio Jockey in Saigon

“Good morning, Vietnam!”
— Adrian Cronauer

There is nothing extraordinary about students being forced to conform, a rebellious genius lacking direction, or being betrayed by someone you trusted. Robin Williams made the commonplace extraordinary and created classics through his rendition of human emotions.

Robin Williams character is sent to Vietnam during the height of the Vietnam War to breathe a little humor back into the lives of the troops. During this time he falls in love with a local girl, learns more about the atrocities being committed, and then falls from grace.

This film is a great insight into the Vietnam conflict and Vietnamese culture for those who have not had other opportunities to learn about it. Robin Williams did a fantastic job portraying Adrian Cronauer and creating one of the best films on the Vietnam War.
