Thousand Dollars for a Kiss, Fifty Cents for Your Soul

“I love Los Angeles, and I love Hollywood. They’re beautiful. Everybody’s plastic, but I love plastic. I want to be plastic.”
— Andy Warhol

Los Angeles is the kind of place where everybody is from somewhere else. People drawn by the dream, people running from the nightmare. Everyone's a star, or at least everyone acts like one. This is where you go to become famous. L.A. offers fame, fortune and glamour while providing entertainment for the world.

The city is massive. Here you get plenty of time to listen to the radio, driving from one place to another. There are many world famous attractions. You can see the Hollywood Sign from Beverly Hills, before going to the Chinese Theatre and the Hollywood Walk of Fame. Those willing to pay for the private roads will get there faster.

The city is filled with shallow and superficial characters. There is much about the city which is distasteful; from the never-ending traffic to the uninspired public infrastructure. Homelessness is rampant throughout the city. Los Angeles is not a nice place. Most are in the gutter and looking at the stars.
