To get away from it all even further
Australia itself is quite remote and laid-back. Western Australia even more so. Perth is a restful city but if you still need to get away from it all to relax and recuperate then there can be no better place than Margaret River down south.
Margaret River has great wineries and food establishments surrounded by some pristine Australian woodland. Cape Leeuwin Lighthouse can be visited to experience what life must have been like for the keepers back in the day.
The best part about this place are the caves. There are three exceptionally unique caves, still in pristine condition, that can be visited by the public. Mammoth, Jewel, and Lake Cave make this place a must-see for anyone who hasn’t yet experienced the majesty of caves.
Nothing that you will learn in the course of your studies will be of the slightest possible use to you in after life, save only this -
That if you work hard and intelligently you should be able to detect when a man is talking rot, and that, in my view, is the main, if not the sole, purpose of education”
— John Alexander Smith
“The richness of the soil, the bright foliage of the shrubs, the majesty of the surrounding trees, the abrupt and red coloured banks of the river occasionally seen, and the view of the blue summits of the mountains, from which we are not far distant, made the scenery around this spot as beautiful as anything of the kind I had ever witnessed”
— Sir James Stirling
“I have never seen anything in my life as beautiful as Wellington harbor. Sydney is nothing to it. Great mountains all round coming down to the water’s edge – the far-off ones with snow on them. Blue sky and deep blue water and Wellington itself nestling on the side of the mountain.”
— Agatha Christie
